Along the border, Natalia uses a curved ruler to create a scalloped foundation. Dark, busy fabrics can hide the stitching, but those subtle details still add texture—a little something extra you discover when you look closer.

For the spiderwebs, Natalia uses rulers to guide her curves and straight lines while allowing small variations in the spacing. A little imperfection helps give the webs a natural, organic look!

Throughout the video, Natalia shares practical tips for marking as you go, stopping with the needle down before repositioning a ruler, and keeping your work close to your body for better comfort and control. She also demonstrates how she approaches ½" line spacing without marking every line, making small adjustments as she works toward previously quilted sections.
